Players Who Would Retire As Legends

It seems like only a day has passed since the likes of David Beckham,Paul Scholes and Jamie Carragher bid tearful adieus to their loved football pitches. But in another 6-7 years we would be witnessing many other players who would be possibly retiring as legends.Let's take a look-

KAKA- Brazil and AC Milan


Ricardo Kaka has been a very great player for his international side - Brazil and his Italian side - AC Milan. Though he was great at Real Madrid but he decided to move back to AC Milan.
His past two years were not as good as the rest of his career but there can be no questioning that he was one of the best around at one point of his career.His vision and accuracy is quite enough to unlock even the sturdiest defenses of the football world,which has been blessed to witness someone as tactically correct as Kaka play in front of them.

Winning the World Cup, LA LIGA titile, SERIA A title and many prestigious awards by FIFA he has proved that he is a living legend.

DIDIER DROGBA- Ivory Coast and Galatasaray


Didier Drogba has been dubbed as a Chelsea legend after he scored the final minute goal for Chelsea in the UEFA Champions League Final. He is currently playing for Galatasaray in Turkey.He is not just a great footballer but is also well renowned for being a good human being and has been able to contribute funds to charities and organizations for the education and well being of kids.

He is worshipped at Ivory Coast for his great footballing career till now. The legend is the highest goal scorer for his national team.

ZLATAN IBRAHIMOVIC-Paris St.Germain and Sweden


Zlatan has certainly left his mark on football history. He once played for Barcelona which turned out to be the turning point of his career. His AC Milan career, playing alongside Ronaldhino improved his gameplay.He is known for scoring outrageous goals from outside the box,the best being his bicycle-kick against England in an  international  friendly,which was selected as the goal of the year by FIFA.
The Swedish wizard has showed his class all over Europe.

A product of the famous Ajax youth academy,Ibrahimovic has heroics registered in equal share for Juventus,Inter Milan ,AC Milan and Ajax.


THIERRY HENRY-Red Bull Salzburg and France


The Arsenal legend is famous all over the world for his skills and goal scoring record for his side.The French-man entertained crowds with his magnificent performance for not only the north-London club but for his national side also.He destroyed the likes of Liverpool,Manchester United,Chelsea,Leeds on his very own and is best known for his contributions during Arsenal's Invincibles era of 2001.Known for being a fun loving person,the Frenchman had hammered in  174 goals for Arsenal and 80 for Barcelona and his showing at the International games was more than fantastic as he managed to put away 51 goals in 120 appearances.

The French star is 36, and will be remembered as Mr.Arsenal.

JAVIER ZANETTI-Argentina and Inter


Incredibly at the age of 40, this player is still playing for the Italian giants- Inter Milan.
Having been with the club since 1995, he has been great in every context and has been successful by winning many titles.

He has been great for his international side -Argentina. He is capable of playing at any position for his team, which makes him a versatile player.

RONALDINHO-Brazil and Atletico Miniero


Ronaldinho is truly being a Brazilian  trunk of experience. Recently he lost the semi-final of the FIFA Club World Cup which was pretty unexpected.

He has pleased crowd with his extraordinary talent in the past years.
He is known for his outrageous technique, passes, dribbling, blind free-kicks and over-head kicks , Ronaldinho has been attracting football fans mainly because of his famous dancing celebration which created waves in the Football world.

He has won many awards just like FIFA Player Of The Year in 2004 and 2005.
No one can question about his contribution towards football and he is probably the best player in his generation.

RYAN GIGGS- Wales and Manchester United

The Welsh wizard is the other name for loyalty. He remains a key feature for Manchester United despite being 40 -years old.Many picturesque photographs state the age of the Welsh wizard and the younger players sprinting after him and these kinds of images depict nearly everything the man has.His dribbling abilities just took the breath away during the mid 90's and early 2000's and his incredible tactical command allowed him to deliver long balls anywhere on the pitch

The Welshman is showered with success and is already a legend. He has played 900+ games and is a play maker for his sides.

LIONEL MESSI-Argentina and Barcelona

Lionel Messi is said to be the most popular player in the history of football. He attracts football fans with his skills, goals, techniques and his every minute on the pitch is memorable.

Winning 4 Ballon D'Ors, he is a attacking- midfielder for Barcelona and Argentina.
At just the age of 24 he has broken about 130 world records related to football including the all-time goal scorer of Barcelona. He did the so-called impossible task of breaking the record of Gerd Muller of scoring 85 goals in a calendar year.
