A rejuvenated United side takes on Stoke-Preview

Mark Hughes's Potters face the Champions of England

The day at Stoke upon Trent in England could be the very first day when Robin van Persie,Wayne Rooney and Juan Mata start together for Manchester United. The trio did play their parts during United's 2-0 win against Cardiff but only two of the three talismans could play together. The signing of Juan Mata has reinvigorated United's ailing midfield and David Moyes' side has got the first glimpse of genuine creativity since the Scotsman's arrival. But,as far as Stoke City are concerned, things have not been exceptionally good for them. The men in red and white have managed to accumulate just a single point in their last 5 Premier League outings but the thing which they quite rightly, have showcased well is team spirit and resiliency. They did coerce United to toil hard during the reserve fixture at Old Trafford, which United won 3-2 but this time around, there's something else hanging in the atmosphere.Let's take a look at what the game has in store for us-

Team News

Steven N'Zonzi and Nemanja Vidic are still serving their bans and are set to miss out.Stoke will be solemnly missing the long term absentees like Robert Huth,Matthew Etherington and Andy Wilkinson, especially in a game as big as this one.The visitors in Red will miss Michael Carrick, who is out following an ankle problem which emerged during United's marathon game against Sunderland. And also Nani, who is out due to a thigh problem. But another good news for United is that summer signing Marouane Fellaini looks set to be given some match time after undergoing a wrist surgery.

Expected Line-ups

Stoke: Begovic; Cameron, Shawcross, Wilson, Pieters; Odemwingie, Palacios, Whelan, Assaidi; Ireland, Crouch
Man U: De Gea; Rafael, Evans, Vidic, Evra; Jones, Cleverley; Mata, Rooney, Januzaj; Van Persie

Predictions

I don't think Stoke will demand something extra out of United abilities and the Van-Roo-Mata trio will fire

I'll predict a 2-0 win for ManUtd
