Theo Walcott is set to miss the FIFA World cup
Many hearts, no doubt, skipped a beat when Arsenal's star forward, Theo Walcott's injury news broke up. He has got a long term knee injury. The Englishman made quite an impact after returning from abdominal injury last year, scoring five goals in the same number of appearances. Many people thought him as an important part of Wenger's side in Arsenal's title push. Fans were also confident about him.
In this difficult situation, also for Arsene Wenger, the Frenchman can also take a chance with the January transfer window just opened. Here is the trio who can play in the mean time:-
Lukas Podolski
Alex Oxlade Chamberlain
The Ox was Arsenal's another causalities, having suffered knee injury. But unfortunately, he has returned to training. He too is a direct player. He just rams and breaks the defense through his skills and tricks. He is not much of goalscorer, but he can create havoc in the defense. Oxlade-Chamberlain created 19 chances getting three assists.
Serge Gnabry
The youngest of all, the 18 year old German is the most exciting among all three. He has impressed whenever called to play, most recently in Gunners' 2-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur in the FA Cup. In the EPL, Gnabry has scored once, against Swansea City. In his five appearances, he has created three chances, having a decent shot accuracy of 75%. His passing is impressive too, the 18 year old has completed 86% of his passes, demonstrative the composure and technique in his game.
