Snubbing Mata is inconsequential-Preview

CHELSEA FANS ARE EXPRESSING THEIR ANGER OVER MOURINHO'S  SELECTION POLICY
Mata has been overlooked repeatedly

Juan Manuel Mata's latest snub at the St. Jakob-Park has prompted some Chelsea fans to launch a scathing attack at Jose Mourinho. He was an unused substitute in Chelsea's 1-0 loss away to FC Basel in Switzerland. He's nearly as good as Oscar,Hazard,Willian or Ramires but he has fallen down the pecking order since the arrival of Portuguese gaffer Jose Mourinho. The Chelsea fans took to the social media to protest against this inconsequential and trivial selection. One fan says that he'll never forgive Mourinho-"I will never forgive Jose if Mata leaves Chelsea but no player is bigger than the club"While the other says"Its high time Mourinho start playing Mata for crying out loud".

Mourinho opted to play Oscar and replaced him with Belgian Hazard instead of Mata ,which would have ensured creativity in the midfield.A skillful attacking midfielder, Mata is known for his passing and his ability to score goals. At 5'8" he has a medium build that further facilitates agile mobility, Mata possesses great vision that allows him to provide assists to accompanying forwards. But Jose Mourinho seems to be snubbing him as if he's not there.

It still remains to be known whether Mata will feature against Chelsea's game today against Southampton.I mean,he's still 25 and has got a good 10 years of football ahead of him but this kind of selection will make things tougher for the little Spaniard.

Southampton have been a tricky side to beat this edition after a perfect start to the season.Although,Samuel Eto'o is set to miss out due to a hamstring problem but Chelsea have the likes of Fernando Torres and Demba Ba to fit in.Southampton boss Mauricio Pochettino will welcome back Jack Cork and Gaston Ramirez. Cork missed the defeat at Arsenal with an ankle injury but is now fully fit whilst Ramirez is back in contention after also missing the 2-0 loss at the Emirates Stadium after a late return from international duty.

Playing Hazard -Oscar-Mata and Torres up front should benefit Mourinho but his selection policy will affect the course of the game. And especially after Arsenal winning yesterday Chelsea would be desperate to win at Stamford Bridge. And Mourinho must swallow his so-called pride and should play Mata alongside Oscar and Hazard.
Will these long lost days be back?

It`s getting harder and harder to predict how a Chelsea game will turn out these days. There is an air of uncertainty around. Who`d have thought they`d struggle against West Brom and lose against Basel and Newcastle but then win so emphatically against West Ham? Southampton will represent a stiff test, they play decent football and are more than capable of getting a result, but will they? I think not, I`m reckoning on a few harsh words from Jose Mourinho dispel the lethargy that was apparent against FC Basel on Tuesday evening. 2-0 to Chelsea for me!

The Spaniard has fallen behind Eden Hazard and Oscar in the pecking order since Mourinho returned to Stamford Bridge and was an unused sub against the Swiss side.
