Barcelona : Not Alone

                                   Barcelona : Not Alone

Barca handed Celtic the harshest lesson in Champions League after giving them a defeat of 6-1 at Camp Nou.

Gerard Pique opened the scoring with Pedro and Neymar adding their names to the score-sheet towards the end of the first half. The Brazilian young star - Neymar, completed his first hat-trick for Barcelona before the one hour mark.
Cristian Tello added to Celtic's misery before Samaras' late consolation goal.

The early sign of worrying for Celtic were when they cheaply gifted the ball to Barca's mid-fielders. The hosts were unfortunately not able to take an advantage of this gift as Alexis Sanchez shot over form the right side. His shot got deflected by Efe Ambrose and was kept out by the goalkeeper Fraser Forster. Celtic had kept out their defenders Commons and Mulgrew from their starting line-up but they got regrouped and kept the Catalans at bay just before the interval. This is when the hosts stepped up gears and Neymar along with Pedro caused problems for Celtic's defense.

Sanchez's passes were exceptionally good and Neymar was able to use them to build pressure on the Celtic goalkeeper and the complete defense  Sanchez lifted the ball over the defenders' head for Martin Montoya and his final passes were swept into the net by Neymar.

The forth goal was a majestic one from one end of the box. It went past the goalkeeper easily after giving a good curl to the ball by Neymar, AGAIN. The goal was made easy for the Brazilian by Xavi with his amazing passing and possession keeping skills.

Forster was able to save Xavi's clean free kick which was on target.
But he was beaten the fifth time, with Neymar getting his first hat trick for Barca. The hat trick hero could have scored a couple of more goals but he was denied by the defenders.

Tello's strike was deflected of Virgil van Dijk leaving Forster wrong-footed.

Barcelona coach Gerardo Martino said that his side produced their best display in his time in charge as they ensured top spot in Champions League Group H with a 6-1 thrashing of Celtic on Wednesday.

Neymar, with his hat trick against Celtic on Wednesday proved that Barcelona can win big matches easily in the absence of their star striker Lionel Messi. He proved that he can score goals, combine well with other team mates and bring victory to his side.

He proved that Barcelona is not alone without Messi.
