The Potters face a resurrected United side-Preview

The Britannia Stadium will see Stoke and Man United face off
Former United striker Mark Hughes

Another upset in the League Cup could well be on the cards today at Stoke upon Trent in England  as Stoke City will play host to Manchester United.United hammered Norwich City 4-0,in the last round and booked their spot in the quarter final, while Stoke endured  a grueling encounter against Birmingham City in the previous round of the League cup. Stoke will come into the game on the back of an unbeaten 3 game streak, which includes a 3-2 win over Chelsea, who were upsetted by Sunderland(2-1) yesterday following Manchester City's 3-1 victory over Leicester City.Due to some impressive home performances from the men in red and white, the Britannia has often been regarded as a "fortress" by the fans. But Manchester United have been struggling lately, despite of their entertaining 3-0 victory over Aston Villa and Stoke might just think that they have some kind of a chance today.
Although,United have never been beaten by Stoke City since 1993 ,when a double from Mark Stein saw Stoke beat the then Champions 2 goals to 1.

Team News

Stoke City will be without German centre back Robert Huth ,who is considered to be a defensive wall for the Potters. Some of the United players like Marouane Fellaini and Nemanja Vidic will be back into first team contention, while Darren Fletcher looks very much set to be handed his first start since two years.

Expected Line-ups

Man United -Lindegaard; Fabio, Ferdinand, Vidic, Buttner; Fletcher, Giggs; Zaha, Young, Nani; Hernandez.
Stoke City-Sorensen, Wilkinson, Shawcross, Wilson, Pieters, Palacios, N’Zonzi, Pennant, Ireland, Shea, Jones

Predictions

Zaha will provide quickness and width in the play to United and if Januzaj gets a go,it will be difficult for Stoke to stop United in their quest to win the League cup.Kenwyne  would love to keep his goal scoring form running in the Cup and not selecting Charlie Adam can affect Stoke's performance today, which is expected to be enough to provide competition to United.
I'll predict a 3-1 win for the Red Devils
