Chelsea make bid for Manchester United Transfer Target Fredy Guarin
Chelsea are hoping to beat Manchester United to Fredy Guarin after making an official offer for the Inter Milan midfielder.
As Metro reported earlier this week, United have made signing 27-year-old Guarin a key priority ahead of the January transfer window.
But despite David Moyes sending officials to Italy to try and agree a deal, Chelsea are hoping to trump them in the race after lodging a firm offer.
It’s believed that the Blues’ bid is worth £10 million plus another £5 million in variable bonuses, with reports suggesting that Inter are now studying it.
Guarin, who has made no secret of his desire to play in England, is a powerful and strong midfielder with a box-to-box style.
Liverpool and Tottenham are also admirers, but Chelsea and United are the only teams to approach Inter to try and do business.
United are yet to respond to Chelsea’s firm offer, although Moyes is still keen on bringing the Colombian to Old Trafford.
