Rooney rejects new Man United contract talks

Wayne Rooney has reportedly rejected United's first attempt

He has played a central role in United's performance

The 28 year old looks to evade United's attempts to bind him to a new contract extension
When English star striker Wayne Rooney once again stuck to Manchester United, nobody could have thought that it was just a matter of time before something unexpected occurs.
And it has happened yet again as Wayne Rooney has reportedly rejected any new contract talks  in favour of Manchester United, who'd be desperately looking to keep the talismanic "White Pele" at Old Trafford
Publicly, Moyes insisted last week that a new deal for the England international "will be done in good course" but Rooney is looking well set to remain keen to seek a fresh challenge at another Champions League club.Chelsea had made 2 bids for him but had failed in their pursuit but a bid in the region of £45 million may just tempt United to sell Rooney in the next summer transfer window as Wayne looks to be nearing towards an Old Trafford exit.
He has proven his worth this season by scoring 8 goals in 13 Premier League appearances ,and has also provided United with some performances which won them the match
Goal.com reveals that the former Everton man had rejected United's first approach to discuss a contract renewal as he looks into the possibility of leaving a club he has served for the past 11 years or so.
His involvement this season will play a huge role in deciding where United will finish this seaon, following 2 consecutive losses at Old Trafford at the hands of Everton and Newcastle United. He was ,once again starting yesterday in United's game vs Shakhtar and was heavily involved in all the passages of plays and every move United made depended upon Rooney himself.
